Hello my crochet lover associates, ? here is yet another little one cardigan sample with quick sleeves. Should you like Chevron Spring youngster Cardigan pattern and the system, you’ll like to try this Cactus youngster Cardigan for three hundred and sixty five days historical infants. For this cardigan, I used cotton yarn in two colours.
As it reminds me the cactus colours, I made a simple crochet flower applique to attaching. ? It’s a simple flower pattern ideal for any patterns which want applique. Isn’t it lovable and remind flower on the cactus crops? So please come and see subsequent Thursday. I’ll show you methods to crochet this straightforward flower sample.

Materials
4-Medium weight / Worsted / 100% Cotton / 160 total yards
(You can also use DK weight yarns obtain the gauge below)
(I used)
- Rico Creative Cotton Aran in 2 colors (White (C1) and Light green (C2)) (Approx: 80 yards in each color)
- 7/ 4.5 mm crochet hook
- Sewing thread and needle
- Stitch markers
- Scissors
Gauge: 17 hdc x 9 rows = 4″ with 7/ 4.5 mm crochet hook
Abbreviations

Notes:
- I made this cardigan with short sleeves. If you want to make long sleeves repeat round 2 on sleeve section until the desired length and follow the edging for sleeves.
Top part.
Back panel
With (C1), crochet ch 36+1
Row 1: hdc in the second ch from the hook, hdc in each st across, turn. (36 sts)
Row 2: ch 1(does not count as st), hdc in first st and each st across, turn. (36 sts)
Row 3 to 8: repeat row 2. Do not fasten off or cut the yarn. Turn the work to make one side panel for the front.
First front panel
Row 1: (RS) ch 1(does not count as st), hdc in first st and each of next 11 sts, turn. (12 sts)
Row 2: (WS) ch 1(does not count as st), hdc in first st and each st across, turn. (12 sts)
Row 3: (RS) repeat row 2.
Row 4: (WS) ch 1(does not count as st), 2 hdc in first st, hdc in each of next 11, turn. (13 sts)
Row 5: (RS) repeat row 2. (13 sts)
Row 6: (WS) ch 1(does not count as st), 2 hdc in first st, hdc in each of next 12 sts, turn. (14 sts)
Row 7: (RS) repeat row 2. (14 sts)
Row 8: (WS) ch 1(does not count as st), 2 hdc in first st and next st, hdc in each of next 12 sts, (16 sts). Fasten off.
Second front panel
Skip next 12 sts of the back panel. Join the yarn at the next st.
Row 1: (RS) ch 1(does not count as st), hdc in first st and each of next 11 sts, turn. (12 sts)
Row 2: (WS) ch 1(does not count as st), hdc in first st and each st across, turn. (12 sts)
Row 3: (RS) repeat row 2.
Row 4: (WS) ch 1(does not count as st), hdc in first st and each of next 10 sts, 2 hdc in last st, turn. (13 sts)
Row 5: (RS) repeat row 2. (13 sts)
Row 6: (WS) ch 1(does not count as st), hdc in first st and each of next 11 sts, 2 hdc in last st, turn. (14 sts)
Row 7: (RS) repeat row 2. (14 sts)

Bodice
Row 1: (RS) ch 1(does not count as st), sc in first st, sc in each of next 15 sts, 1 sc in first st of the back panel (made an armhole), sc in each of next 16 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 18 sts, sc in first st of other side front panel (made an armhole), sc in each of next 15 sts, turn. (69 sts)
Row 2: (WS) join (C2) yarn at first st, ch 3(count as st), sk next st, *(3 dc, ch 2, 1 dc) in next st, sk next 3 sts; repeat * to across, after crocheting last (3 dc, ch 2, 1 dc), sk next st, dc in last st, turn. (17 (3 dc, ch 2, 1 dc))
Row 3: (RS) ch 3(count as st), *(1 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-2 sp; repeat * to across, dc in last ch 3 top, turn. (17 (3 dc, ch 2, 1 dc))
Row 4: (WS) ch 3(count as st), *(3 dc, ch 2, 1 dc) in next ch-2 sp; repeat * to across, dc in last ch 3 top, turn. (17 (3 dc, ch 2, 1 dc))
Row 5 to 10: repeat row 3 and 4 continuously. Fasten off and weave the ends.
Edging
Row 1: (RS) facing join (C1) yarn at bottom edge corner st of the cardigan, ch 1, 3 sc in first st, sc in each st around the bottom edge, 3 sc in next corner st at the bottom (work 3 sc in 4 corners including this (2 corners on the bottom and 2 corners on the top edge)),
open side with around the neck – crochet sc evenly in open sides including around the neck, (do not forget to crochet 3 sc in next corner sts), sl st to the first sc.
Row 2: ch 1, crochet sc in each st around the edge. (work 3 sc in 4 corners (2 corners on the bottom and 2 corners on the top edge), Fasten off and weave the ends.
Straps (make 2): with (C1), crochet chains 40 and attach in the top corner st.
Sleeves (each side on armholes)
Round 1: (RS) facing, join (C1) yarn at side-sc st of row 1 of the bodice part in underarm, ch 1, hdc in same st, [2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st] 8 times, hdc in next st, sl st to the first st. (27 sts total)
Round 2: ch 1, hdc in first st and each st around, sl st to the first st. (27 sts total)
Round 3: ch 1, sc in first st and each st around, sl st to the first st. (27 sts total)
Round 4: repeat round 3. Fasten off and weave the end.
